Should I be baptized?
Baptism holds significant meaning in Christianity, as Christ Himself commanded it and set the example. An act of obedience. A practice since the early days of church. It is evident throughout the Book of Acts (Acts 2:37-41, 8:12, 8:36-39, 10:46-48, and Chapter 16). Baptism symbolizes unity and equality among believers, signifying a shared faith and commitment.
Steps to prepare for baptism
Before Baptism, it’s important to go through several steps:
Embrace the personal realization of your need for God. This involves acknowledging your spiritual hunger and seeking a deeper connection with Him.
Wholeheartedly trust in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior of humanity. Faith in Christ forms the foundation of baptism, reflecting your commitment to His teachings and salvation.
Repentance involves a profound change of heart and a renewed perspective on your relationship with God. It signifies turning away from past behaviors and attitudes that separate you from God.
Publicly confess your faith in Christ and acknowledge the ongoing spiritual growth that comes with it. This confession serves as a public declaration of your commitment to live according to Christ’s teachings.
Through baptism, symbolically leave behind your past and commit to a new life guided by Christ. It signifies a spiritual rebirth and a fresh start in your journey of faith.
